Like sands though the hourglass so are the day's of our youth!
Tonight my husband went to a reunion. After four hours he called me to say can I pick him up around 11.30 pm not at 9.30 as planed. The night before he really didn't want to go,( no other the reason than he is a man of habit & a night out would mean missing his favorite show 'Summer wine')I can hear you laughing! Anyhoo turns out he had a wonderful night..It got me thinking how we all change and if you haven't seen your friends or work mates for many year's. (Specially women we get into such a state about how we look) When I went into the hotel to pick hubby up' there were a lot of men I haven't seen in years ( hubby was in the building trade) Not long after talking to them all' I realized yes they were a lot older, but a funny thing happened their oldness seamed to disappear not that they looked younger but it was just like going back to yesterday their smile's came flooding back' The cheeky grin the twinkle in their eyes.(TWINKLE in their eyes'what ever! The warmness of their voice or the bloke who used to laugh way to loud.........(no' I have not had a drinkypoo)
to much 'grey hair yes, the extra weight yes, bald, wrinkly skin definitely & though it all you could see the man of yesterday.. Emm would it be the same if they were all women 'maybe not' sadly for us girl's our look's are everything,'right' well I was told how good I looked the other week then my long lost 'friend' said hold on while she popped on her glasses to check my face' how Bizarre 'How Bizarre' hahaa do you think she was looking for botox,fillers! I could of told her I looked so good because I was happy to see her & it shown in my face OK OK good make up .........please don't ask me what make up' as I mix so many together these days, heheee.
